Could the Kathy Griffin incident be the high water mark of Cultural Marxism?

There have been many a time period in history when momentous events have taken place that only in retrospect were considered to be turning points. It is hard to see the overall picture and trends when crisis and circumstances of an immediate nature dominate one’s thoughts. However, there are other periods when moments leading up to a critical exigency indicate that it is indeed a turning point.

The purveyors of ‘critical theory’ for many years have been at their work desperately trying to convince the people of benefits of Marxism. How this is supposed to work via incessant complaining about freedom and liberty is truly beyond my comprehension. In many ways this could be seen as a positive sign given that it is the best the Socialist-Left can offer, and so far their efforts have failed to convince most people to enslave themselves.

Recent years have witnessed cracks in the facade of Political Correctness (also known as Cultural Marxism)  There have been a number of comedians who have mocked the practice to the laughter and enjoyment of many a crowd. This should have been a warning sign to the Socialist-Left as to the changing attitudes towards their insistence on imposing their values and control on others.

But the last 24 hours have seen what truly could be argued as a turning point and a downfall of the Left’s most pervasive attacks on freedom. The reaction of disgust to what Kathy Griffin most assuredly thought would be an ‘edgy’ attempt at humour was a sight to behold. And this is primarily due to the reaction from the Socialist-Left.

In many ways when the news broke of this yesterday, we could have easily envisioned the news cycle playing out as usual in a case like this. One expected the Conservative Right to be outraged and the Socialist – Left to defend her ‘art’ as it were. It could be easily argued that this incident went what most decent people could stomach. And in retrospect, one could see that something of this nature was bound to splinter the hidden but fragile leftist coalitions. But now with this event, perhaps the nation’s socialist left won’t be able to intimidate the people in following their cultural dictates. It was only a facade, and now it’s been fractured for good.

Differential equations teaches us that one can use the initial conditions of the present to extrapolate events in the near term balanced with the knowledge of the past. The interaction of technological advances and the march of history is fascinating. History can inform those willing to listen as to what will happen in the future because the laws of human natural are as immutable as the elegant equations of Newtonian physics.
